My well had poor yield (two wash loads would kill the well). Eastern researched the original well drilling and yield and determinted that hydo fracturing was worth a try. I was also quoted the cost to deepen it if desired. We went with the fracturing, and the well is yielding close to what it did almost 40 years ago (given the number of surrounding houses built during those years), and is now providing plenty of water.
